Summary

The present report contains the main findings and recommendations of the Committee for Development Policy at its fourteenth session. The Committee addressed the following themes: productive capacity and employment; the international development strategy beyond 2015; the triennial review of the list of least developed countries (including monitoring of the development progress of Equatorial Guinea and Samoa); and strengthening the process of smooth transition of countries graduating from the category of least developed countries.

Il donne également suite aux résolutions 66/119, 64/76 et 64/75 de l’Assemblée générale et à la résolution 2011/8 du Conseil économique et social.

The present report has been prepared pursuant to General Assembly resolution 46/182, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report annually to the Assembly and the Economic and Social Council on the coordination of emergency humanitarian assistance. The report is also submitted in response to Assembly resolutions 66/119, 64/76 and 64/75 and Economic and Social Council resolution 2011/8.
