- More than 1,000 Albanians from Macedonia have fled the trouble-hit
northern region of Tanusevci following increased conflicts between Albanian
guerillas and government forces, the UN refugee agency UNHCR said Wednesday.
Since February 12, the UNHCR and other
aid agencies have registered 871 refugees arriving in southern Kosovo,
while another 240 have found shelter with their relatives in Macedonia
itself, officials said.
In Kosovo, most of the refugees have
remained in the village of Debelde, just a few kilometers from Tanusevci,
