Against the LRA in Uganda, CAR, DRC, South Sudan: Religious leaders call for negotiations, a regional brigade, an increasing humanitarian assistance and the arrest of his supporters
Kinshasa, June 13th, 2011 (caritasdev.cd): the dynamics of dialogue and negotiation among stakeholders with the recovery process of the Agreement in Juba, the protection of civilians affected by the atrocities of the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) as well as humanitarians, and the formation of a regional brigade disciplined well reasoned and well equipped, are the main recommendations of the Regional Network and Interfaith Religious Leaders for Peace (RRILRP). The Network has also recommended an increasing humanitarian aid, and conviction of persons, organizations and governments that would support the LRA. The RRILRP does not, however, underestimate the military intervention as a means of resolving the crisis LRA, advocated and implemented for over 25 years by the Ugandan government then by the governments of Congo, South Sudan and Central African Republic, reports caritasdev.cd.
