DPDO President, Suliman Giddo and Program Director, Susan Burgess-Lent will travel to Darfur in mid-September. During their missions, they will assess programs, manage distribution of a container full of relief items, and meet with partner UN agencies. 305 displaced women at DPDO's Women's Centers in Kassab and Abu Shouk IDP camps are selling their unique handcrafted baskets in the US. DPDO is partnering with 17 retailers throughout the US.
