Yemen: Location of New IDPs from Abyan Governorate Displaced since Mid February 2012 (25 March 2012)

Since mid-February 2012, an estimated 56,000 additional people have been displaced from Abyan Governorate to Aden and Lahj Governorates and within Abyan itself. These new IDPs add to a pre-existing caseload of 144,205 people which brings the total number of displaced persons to 200,205 . The IDPs are fleeing fighting between non-state groups and Yemeni Military Forces.
