This map presents the standing flood waters over the affected districts of Badin and Mirpur Khas, Pakistan based on analysis of satellite data recorded on 23 September 2011. A preliminary analysis indicates that flood waters appear to be stable in spatial extent between 15-23 Sept. 2011. Please note that a detected water body reflects an underestimation of all flood-affected areas within the map extent. This analysis has not yet been validated in the field.
