Southern Africa: Weekly Report (3 to 9 June 2014)

Madagascar:

Further support is being provided to authorities in assisting the 1,400 people displaced by clashes between the two villages of Andranondambo and Ambatotsivala in Androy, southern Madagascar, which took place on 8 May, including distribution of food, health and non-food items.

Mozambique:

According to media sources, RENAMO attacks have been reported in the central province of Sofala, where gunmen had allegedly been opening fire against convoys of vehicles between 2 and 6 June. 10 Casualties, both civilians and soldiers, were reported to the media by an anonymous military source.
