Notes:
The snow cover product is a classification of 8-days snow covered areas created by a synthesis of satellite data (MODIS MOD10).
Snow cover from ITHACA - low snow persistence: pixels that in the last 8 days resulted as snow covered for a percentage of weighted days varying from 10 to 30 % of the considered period;

• medium snow persistence: pixels that in the last 8 days resulted as snow covered for a percentage of weighted days varying from 30 to 60 % of the considered period;

• high snow persistence: pixels that in the last 8 days resulted as snow covered for a percentage of weighted days varying from 60 to 100 % of the considered period.
