TOKYO, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Torrential
rains and a typhoon have swept across North Korea, killing many people,
triggering landslides and destroying tens of thousands of homes, the official
Korean Central News Agency said on Friday.
The storms this month destroyed or damaged
some 125,000 homes, of which 29,000 were completely demolished or swept
away, with the damage estimated at more than $6.0 billion, the state news
