ROLE PURPOSE:

UNICEF Afghanistan Country Office is looking for an Internal Quality Control and Assurance Specialist, P-3 for a 12 month temporary appointment.

Under the guidance of the Chief of Operations, responsible for the assessment of accounting documents and financial documents associated with programme implementation, direct cash transfers, programme cooperation agreements and other payments made by the numerous offices of UNICEF Afghanistan as well as the assurance activities of UNICEF partners in the harmonized approach to cash transfer modality.

Evaluation report for a project entitled “Improved Community Based Natural Resource Management in Southern Districts of Balkh Province, Afghanistan” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ).

The Position

IDLO seeks a Finance Manager for a U.S. funded multi-million dollar program for 30 months in support of the 'Justice Training Transition Program' (JTTP), as part of the international community completing the transition and handover in Afghanistan. The position will be based in Kabul with frequent travel to six other regions, Herat, Kunduz, Balkh, Nangarhar, Bamyan and Badakhshan. The incumbent will report to the Chief of Party in Kabul, supervise Finance staff in the provinces and work in close collaboration with the Project Finance Officer at Headquarters.

Adam Smith International (ASI) is seeking a Formula-based Budgeting Advisor to calculate at O&M cost requirements for at least 3 line ministries based on norms and to ensure costs are integrated into budget submissions. This is part of an award-winning three-year, DFID-funded assignment in Afghanistan which has recently completed its highly successful inception phase. This is a temporary position (6 months minimum), reporting to the Team Leader.
