Since 2010, UMCOR’s work in Haiti has focused on emergency response and recovery programming from the devastating earthquake in January 2010 that affected large parts of the country. UMCOR’s work has a humanitarian and development mandate to work with all communities in need. With a base of operations largely in the West Department with travel to other parts of the country, UMCOR operates in three sectors: Shelter and Reconstruction, Livelihood and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and maintains partnerships with a variety of organizations, including the Methodist Church of Haiti.

REPORTS TO: Head of Mission

PURPOSE: The purpose of UMCOR’s Haiti mission is to provide emergency response, early recovery and transitional development assistance in the affected regions of Haiti. The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Coordinator oversees the program and technical aspects of all water, sanitation and hygiene programming in Haiti, builds capacity of national staff and ensures all related program objectives are achieved in collaboration with senior management and the project team. This is an unaccompanied position.

dTS is recruiting for a Communications Specialist for a USAID project. Duties shall include, Assisting the CoP in preparation (including editing) of all non-financial deliverables; working with the Information Officer to ensure content on IT systems is up to date and meets client needs; coordinating communications and other special projects as assigned by the Mission.
