Position Description:

The Legal Advisor Internship is a position of 7.5 months’ duration. Legal Advisors are assigned to work in the Durable Solutions (DS) Team and are responsible for representing individual DS cases before UNHCR and foreign embassies. Legal Advisors manage their own caseload of clients, interviewing, taking statements and writing legal arguments. DS Legal Advisors are expected to work full-time (35 hours per week minimum) and to be present in AMERA offices from 9am to 5pm (with one hour for lunch).
