Position Description

Do you have technical expertise in Early Childhood Development (ECD)? Have you led diverse and geographically dispersed teams, whether as manager or influencer? Are you passionate about influencing development program and discourse on Life Stage I?

SOLHIMAL is a Non-Governmental Organization (registered under French legislation 1901), created in April 1988, supporting the Himalayan Community since 1988.

SOLHIMAL FRANCE is in charge of financing sponsorships, organizing solidarity trips, volunteer work camps, exhibitions and fairs, and writing of grant proposals. SOLHIMAL FRANCE/NEPAL is in charge of managing sponsorships, implementing and tracking projects in Nepal, volunteering programs, and welcoming sponsors visiting Nepal.

Founded in 2002, by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other illnesses. Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management.

The Specialist, Emergency Food Security & Livelihoods plays a key role in increasing the Hunger and Livelihoods Department’s level of response in emergencies and so raising Save the Children US’s emergency response capacity. S/he contributes to Hunger and Livelihoods Department’s capacity to prevent and respond to food and livelihood insecurity in emergencies by providing decision and planning support to Save the Children International’s (SCI) country and regional offices (CO & RO); program design, management, and evaluation; capacity strengthening and knowledge management.
