DAI seeks an Agriculture and Nutrition Advisor for an anticipated USAID-funded integrated water, sanitation and hygiene project for Kenya. The project’s aim is to improve lives and health through development and management of sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene services in Kenya through institutionalizing catalytic models of sustainable service delivery for accelerated water and sanitation access in specific target countries and improving complementary hygiene behaviors.
EMERGENCY: On Saturday 25th April 2015 an earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale hit NEPAL. As many as 9 million people may have been affected by the catastrophe.
As of 11th May 2015, the death toll stood at over 8000.
Tens of thousands of people had been injured, according to official figures.

On the 8 of Nov. 2013 the Philippines were struck by Haiyan, one of the strongest typhoons ever to make landfall. Typhoon Haiyan caused massive destruction in 9 central regions of the Philippines, leaving especially the Eastern Visayas including the area of Samar and Leyte severely affected. In Palo, a rural municipality of Leyte, 99% of houses were completely destroyed or damaged by wind gusts and storm surges. Also sanitation facilities and bathing areas were destroyed by Haiyan, posing a potential risk on the health of affected communities.
