About the job

Within its South-Central area of operations, DRC presently works in areas of Anbar, Babylon, Baghdad, Diyala, Kerbala, Najaf and Salahhadin governorates. The Humanitarian Access Safety Advisor, based in Baghdad, will provide guidance and support in the assessment and management of safety risks to DRC staff and resources in current locations and in new areas of operation. The Humanitarian Access Safety Advisor will provide regular analysis and work closely with national safety staff to build professional capacities.

1) Background and context

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and its sister organization DDG has been providing relief, humanitarian community safety, and early recovery/development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997.
