The Building Resilient Communities in Somalia (BRCiS) Consortium aims at improving the resilience of vulnerable communities and households in seven regions, 22 districts and 99 communities of south and central Somalia, directly targeting 30,100 households. The BRCiS Consortium is formed by five organisations: NRC, SCI, IRC, Concern Worldwide and CESVI. The five years programme, at the moment, is funded by DFID and DEVCO. BRCiS develop an approach based on tailor-made, participatory programming.

We opened the hospital in 2015 and have Outpatient, Inpatients and the Emergency Department operational at present. Our surgical unit is planned for in June/July.
The position would requires a minimum of 1 month commitment but 2 months or more are preferred.

The WHO programme on HIV is located in the HIV, TB and Malaria Cluster (HTM). The HIV and Hepatitis programme is guided by the Global Health Strategies for HIV and Hepatitis 2016-21. The new strategies are submitted to the Executive Board and World Assembly in respectively January and May 2016 for approval. The goal of the Secretariat’s draft strategy on HIV and Viral Hepatitis is to end the AIDS epidemic as a public health threat by 2030, within the context of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
