In Egypt, refugee children still face significant barriers related to both access and quality of education in a safe environment. The additional pressure on the education system and the capacity to absorb Syrian refugee children has been a challenge. To date, targeted assistance programmes to the Ministry of Education have been a strategic priority for the education sector.
