Brooke has launched its ambitious new five-year global strategy following a sustained period of outstanding growth in improving the health and wellbeing of working horses, donkeys and mules across the world. We have achieved this by engaging effectively with communities for better welfare, treatment and veterinary services and through the successful lobbying of key global players to change policy and practice for the mutual benefit of both the animals and their owners – the millions of people whose livelihoods depend on them.
Brooke currently reaches 2 million working animals benefitting 12 million people.
We actively recruit talented individuals who can bring their professional expertise to a growing organisation which prides itself on being a leading animal welfare INGO operating across a growing number of countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
The purpose of this role is to enable Brooke’s Major Relationship s Team to optimise its engagement with existing and prospective donors. The post-holder will identify new opportunities, ensure a robust and dynamic pipeline of research for our major donor, trust, corporate and institutional grant fundraising and play an active part in helping progress our relationships with these audiences.
We are looking for an experienced Prospect Researcher, ideally with a background in major donor development, to help our dynamic Major Relationships Team deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy.
The successful candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, a broad knowledge of major donor fundraising and research and an understanding of data protection compliance. The post holder will also be an effective communicator and project manager, with strong IT and CRM database skills.
