Overview
On 12 Apr 2012, heavy rains in Musanze Northern Province, and Nyabihu and Rubavu districts in Western Province of Rwanda have led to flooding causing extensive damage to houses and property. According to the Rwanda Red Cross and government local authorities, an estimated 2,200 households, or 11,000 people, have been affected. 348 houses were destroyed, 446 were damaged or are still flooded.
