Niamey (CICR) – Les habitants de la commune de Ber, dans le nord du Mali, disposent désormais d'un nouveau centre de santé communautaire. Le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) vient de remettre aux autorités sanitaires de Tombouctou les bâtiments et les installations qui abriteront ce centre.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) is a source of un-earmarked money created by the Federation in 1985 to ensure that immediate financial support is available for Red Cross Red Crescent response to emergencies. The DREF is a vital part of the International Federation’s disaster response system and increases the ability of National Societies to respond to disasters.
Armed conflict, flooding, drought … living conditions for stock breeders in the Agadez region of northern Mali have deteriorated substantially in recent years. But the mood was one of celebration at the recent two-day festival that celebrated the successful first phase of a vaccination programme involving a million animals.
