Brazil: Floods and Landslides - Apr 2010
Disaster description
Since 4 April 2010 torrential rains and mudslides have severely affected the State of Rio de Janeiro. On 19 April the National Civil Defence has reported: 256 deaths and 403 injured, and stated that more than six million people have been affected in some degree by the disaster (IFRC, 23 April 2010).
