DR Congo: Floods - Mar 2010

Disaster description

Heavy rainfall during March resulted in flooding along the Congo River in Bukavu Territory, Katanga Province, displacing more than 13,000 households, according to OCHA. Immediately following the floods, relief agencies provided humanitarian assistance to affected populations. As of April 19, OCHA reported that more than 2,600 households remained displaced in the province (USAID, 29 April 2010).
