Algeria: Flash Floods - Oct 2008

Disaster description

On 2 October 2008, floods caused by heavy rains in and around the Algerian oasis town of Ghardaia killed 89 people and injured 50. Eight of the 13 districts of the surrounding Ghardaia province were affected by the floods, with 11,800 families estimated to be affected. IFRC, 22 Dec 2008
