La Secretaría Ejecutiva del Sistema Nacional para la Prevención, Mitigación y Atención de desastres hace del conocimiento de la ciudadanía en general que el día de hoy, a las 11 de la mañana, se reunió el Comité Nacional, presidido por el Vicepresidente de la Rep=FAblica, Ingeniero Enrique Bolaños Geyer, con el fin de analizar los informes de las instituciones y entidades miembros del Sistema Nacional y de los Comités Departamentales y Municipales, con relación a las poblaciones afectadas y los daños ocasionados por el Huracán Keith, así como las previsiones meteorológicas de su evulución.

Latest indications continue to point to increased cereal output in 2000, although the growth will be lower than expected earlier. The IOM-operated ship the Patricia Anne Hotung sailed from Kupang today with 193 refugees on board. Initial fears that fighting between local people on the road to the port would disrupt loading were unfounded. The ship should arrive in Dili tomorrow morning.
