Flood victims homebound

Report
New Era

Story by Albertina Nakale

WINDHOEK - Almost 11 000 flood victims in the Caprivi Region are expected to return to their homes by the end of this week after spending months in relocation camps.

The 11 000 flood victims were accommodated in the 13 flood relocation camps that government established for the thousands of people displaced by floods in that region of the country. They were evacuated to safer areas at the beginning of March following heavy flooding that swamped the region in the flood-prone Kabbe constituency.
