  • Intensified strikes on civilian infrastructure disrupted vital services, such as electricity and heating, for hundreds of thousands and impacted access to health and education.
  • In response to growing needs, humanitarians launched the 2024 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, appealing for US$3.1 billion to help 8.5 million most vulnerable people.
  • In the first two months of the year, aid organizations provided 2.9 million people with multisectoral assistance and organized 10 convoys to front-line areas.
  • Two million people received critical supplies and services for the winter season by end February 2024, including to meet their energy needs.
