155 projets menés. 900 000 personnes aidées.

Paris, 12 décembre 2007- Après trois ans d'actions ininterrompues, la Croix-Rouge française dresse l'état des lieux de ses programmes menés en Asie du Sud-Est : sur 155 projets menés, 89 sont terminés et 66 restent en cours.

Suite au tsunami du 26 décembre 2004, l'appel à dons de la Croix-Rouge française a permis de collecter 112 millions d'euros, entièrement dédiés aux victimes des régions dévastées : l'Indonésie, le Sri Lanka, les Maldives, l'Inde, la Thaïlande, le Myanmar, la Tanzanie et l'océan Indien.

At the time of the tsunami, the Seychelles Red Cross was a small but active community-based organization and was primarily governance driven. Despite its limited capacity at the time, the National Society (NS) responded quickly to the tsunami.
