Japon – La Diète du Japon a approuvé le budget supplémentaire du pays pour l’exercice 2012, qui prévoit une allocation de 43,5 millions de dollars E.-U. pour les opérations humanitaires de l’OIM destinées aux migrants vulnérables, aux personnes déplacées à l’intérieur de leur propre pays, aux migrants de retour et aux communautés d’accueil du monde entier.

Ces fonds visent à répondre à des besoins non satisfaits ou imprévus durant l’exercice. Il s’agit de la plus grande somme que l’OIM ait reçue de ce mécanisme de financement japonais jusqu’à présent.

Good afternoon and welcome to our Member States briefing on CERF for 2012.

I want to give you an overview of how CERF has been used this year. I will also focus on some of the lessons learned from our country reviews and I will brief you on progress with the management response plan that was developed in response to the Five-Year Evaluation.

People internally displaced by conflict and violence

For the last 14 years, the Norwegian Refugee Council’s Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre has monitored intern- al displacement resulting from conflict and violence across the world. In 2011, the number of people internally displaced by these causes stood at 26.4 million.

(Phnom Penh, Friday 2 December 2011): A global conference on the worldwide landmine ban has concluded, with states announcing both promising progress and worrying setbacks in their efforts to eradicate landmines.

“In 1997 we won a treaty. But only when all people in mine affected areas can live in dignity, when no more mines threaten their lives, when no one produces or lays new mines, have we truly won,” said Song Kosal, Cambodian landmine survivor and Youth Ambassador of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL).

This sixth edition of the Yearbook of Peace Processes analyses conflicts in which negotiations are being held to reach a peace agreement, regardless of whether these negotiations are formalised, are in the exploratory phase, are faring well or, to the contrary, are stalled or in the midst of crisis. It also analyses some cases in which negotiations or explorations are partial; that is, they do not include all the armed groups present in the country (such as the case of India, for example).

El estado de la inseguridad alimentaria en el mundo 2009 es el 10.=BA informe de situación de la FAO sobre el hambre en el mundo desde la Cumbre Mundial sobre la Alimentación (CMA) de 1996.
