Fourteen persons have died and 500,000
require emergency food assistance and shelter in Cambodia following the
most severe flooding in nearly 20 years.
The Mekong River has flooded Ratanakiri,
Stung Treng, Kampong Cham, Kandal, and Prey Veng, and parts of the capital
of Phnom Penh. The flooding has affected at least 1.3 million people -
a full 13 percent of Cambodia's population.
