By Eugen Tomiuc
June 17, 2013

(Bishkek, June 8, 2013) – Justice for crimes committed during the ethnic violence in southern Kyrgyzstan in June 2010 remains elusive and the authorities’ commitment to accountability is in doubt, Human Rights Watch said today. Many people have gone on trial in connection with the violence. But the justice process has been seriously flawed from arrest to conviction, and has led to lengthy prison sentences based on unsound convictions.
