Copenhagen, 15 May 2009 - As of 14 May, 33 countries worldwide had reported a total of 6497 laboratory-confirmed cases of influenza A(H1N1) to WHO, including 60 deaths. As shown by the rising number of cases and affected countries, the virus continues to circulate. Premier cas confirmé de grippe A/H1N1 en Belgique - 13.05.2009

Le Commissariat interministériel Influenza informe qu'un homme de 28 ans vivant en Flandre orientale est revenu le 11 mai 2009 d'un voyage des Etats-Unis et a été testé positif à la grippe A/H1N1.

Le jour suivant son retour, le 12 mai, l'homme s'est rendu chez son médecin. Celui-ci a constaté des symptômes grippaux (fièvre, toux).
