BUJUMBURA, Burundi (PANA) - Five
members of the same family were killed Monday when their home was attacked
by armed rebels at Buhonga, 10 km from Bujumbura.
The attackers threw grenades to break
into the house of the provincial agriculture officer, killing him, his
wife, his two children and servant.
The provincial governor, Stomilas Ntahobori,
said the assailants also attacked nearby houses, where they wounded two
people.
He quoted witnesses as saying the attackers
belonged to the Palipehutu National Liberation Forces, from the Nyamaboko
and the Mugere valley.
